John Fack became the ninth different winner of the Sporting Trial season at the Gloster event on Sunday.

Fack hadn’t won for two years since claiming the British championship and ended the year with an overall win. His identical twin Jerome had begun his own campaign with victory earlier in the year.

A heavy overnight frost made for extremely treacherous conditions and a high-scoring day with John Fack and Roland Uglow leading the way, the pair finishing just seven marks apart. Reigning BTRDA Gold Star champion Ian Veale completed the podium a further 11 behind.

The next five drivers were covered by just three points with Paul Price fourth and top intermediate driver, tying with Andy Wilks in his similar CAP.

A stunning drive by club competitor Phil Haines in his live axle Facksimile helped him tie with them in sixth ahead of multiple champion Ian Wright.

Jerome Fack finished as second intermediate driver just outside the top 10 overall. Mike Baker won the novice class from Ian Fullwood.
