TV GUIDE NEXT WEEK CAN TOYOTA KICK UP A STORM IN THE WRC?

Motor Sport News - - Interview: Chris Haird -

Why not kick your weekend off with a Classic F1 title decider – the controversial 1994 Australian Grand Prix?

In a season marred by on-track tragedy, two drivers – Benetton’s Michael Schumacher and Williams’ Damon Hill – entered the season finale in Adelaide with the chance of winning the title, with the pair famously coming together in their quest for glory (Friday, 21002145hrs, Sky Sports F1).

While there was another head-to-head battle between the Mercedes drivers this season, 2016 was also a year of new beginnings as Channel 4 hosted coverage of Formula 1 for the first time. Whatever you made of the channel’s output, there’s a great opportunity to catch the best bits of an enthralling campaign with its first season review – Lewis vs Nico: F1 2016 – a week before Christmas (Sunday December 18, 12301405hrs).

If you want to catch big beasts knocking the stuffing out of each other to get in the festive spirit, then look no further than the British Truck Racing Association Championship (Thursday December 22, 16201750hrs, Motors TV). Highlights come from the final round of the 2016 season at Brands Hatch, which brought the season to a close in fraught fashion.
