Karting ace Crees to Ginetta
Henry Surtees Challenge runner-up Michael Crees will graduate into car racing this year, taking part in the Ginetta Racing Drivers’ Club Plus.
The 33-year-old has four years of karting experience but has never previously raced a car. He will race for Team want2race in the series, which will split away from the GT5 Challenge for four of its six rounds.
“I’m a happy-go-lucky guy who just loves racing, with some fantastic results recently against some of the best kart drivers in the world and coming second in the recent Henry Surtees Challenge,” said Crees. “We are looking for a successful start to my motor racing career and believe the GRDC+ is a great stepping stone and platform to learn the ropes and gain more experience.”
