R.A.C. route change boosts interest
The organisers of the Roger Albert Clark Rally have been overwhelmed by the initial competitor response to the event, which runs on November 10-13.
The outline route was revealed in MN last week and rally manager Colin Heppenstall says the response has far exceeded his expectations. The route will take in around 280 stage miles in four full days across England, Scotland and Wales, making it the longest rally in the UK this year.
“We’ve already had over 100 expressions of interest,” said Heppenstall. “While historics are a key part of the rally, I’m also keen to remind everyone that we will, as usual, run an Open Category for all two-wheel-drive cars.”
