Aaltonen back to Monte in a Mini
Rauno Aaltonen will drive a Mini Cooper S on the 20th Rallye Monte Carlo Historique, 50 years after he won the Monte Carlo Rally in a similar car.
Over 300 cars will be headed away by 2016 winner and former British GT champion Daniele Perfetti in his Renault Alpine. Other famous names entered include Jean Ragnotti and Jurgen Barth.
Over 20 UK crews will compete, with the UK starters leaving Glasgow from 1800hrs today (Wednesday).
The event opens with seven concentration runs before the routes converge on Digne-les-bains on Saturday. After four days, the action finishes late on Tuesday night with a night run taking in the Col de Turini.
