Reigning British and European GT champion team TF Sport has recruited factory drivers Nicki Thiim and Rob Bell to aid its European and Le Mans campaigns this year.

The team will upgrade to running a Vantage GTE in 2017, having won a grid slot at Le Mans after winning the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup title last term.

Team regulars Euan Hankey and Salih Yoluc will both return, with Bell joining them for Le Mans and current WEC world champion Thiim sharing for the full European Le Mans Series schedule.

Team head Tom Ferrier said: “This is hugely exciting for TF Sport. After the success we’ve had in 2016, it feels like natural progression to move into Gte-spec machinery in Europe. The ELMS is a great championship and the chance to race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans itself is a dream come true. Aston Martin has been a huge part of this deal coming together. We believe we have a strong team with the drivers to match and we’re ready to challenge.”
