New Four Nations contest for National Hot Rods launched for 2017
A brand new four-round championship to find the best of the best international Hot Rod talents has been created and will take in races in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The Four Nations champion will be the driver who scores the most points over four meetings that are already part of the domestic schedules in each of the regions.
The meetings will include the European weekend at Lochgelly in Scotland on April 1/2, the National Championship in England at Hednesford Hills on August 4-6, the British Championship weekend that takes place at Tullyroan in Northern Ireland on September 2/3 and the Masters of the Oval weekend at Tipperary in Ireland on October 28/29.
Nationalhotrod.com’s Neil Rowe, who is one of the men behind the event, said: “We’ve already got season-long points championships in each nation, and we’ve got the four or five times a year when all NHR regions come together for a major one-off championship.
“We haven’t had a season-long four-event international points championship where the best drivers can measure themselves against each other.”
