RESULTS IN 2016, FACTORY RIDE IN 2017
After a torrid two years on Honda machinery in 2014 and 2015, it looked to many that Redding’s chances of securing a factory seat had maybe slipped away for good.
But with new motivation in the form of a bike that he loves riding and a team he loves working with, he has firmly set his sights on following Andrea Iannone and securing a factory Ducati ride next year.
“Ducati are the exact opposite of Honda. They’ve given me a good base and they want to keep pushing, keep giving me what I need if I do well. They go to win, and they don’t care about anything else. That’s the sole objective from the weekend.
“My target is to get on the factory bike, end of story, and I think that’s what Ducati and Pramac want too. They want to see me come up, get going and get on to the factory bike. It worked with Iannone and I think they want to do the same with me. It fills you with confidence!”
