Kawasaki ZX-10R

Motorcycle News (UK) - - New Bikes -

Stick race gearing on to shorten the long ratios and this Kawasaki would really fly, but in standard trim it takes a relative age to ping through the slick, quickshift-assisted gearbox, and with the bikes being so close, that’s its lap time gone.

You feel the ZX-10R’S extra kilos when changing direction, but again this could be easily rectified with a lighter race pipe, which would also release more power. Like the Yamaha, the electronics interfere with the brakes on track and the ABS, which you can’t turn off, is constantly pulsing the lever. Lap times aside, we all felt confident and comfortable on the Kawasaki.
