Repsol Honda boss Livio Suppo believes Marc Marquez can fight for the Motogp title, despite their difficult start.
“If you look at Marc’s race pace from the final day in Qatar, then yes, he can challenge for a win. If the race was tomorrow, we would have a good chance.
“If I look at the three different circuits we’ve been to – Sepang was basically useless for us, by Phillip Island Marc was very fast, and in Qatar it was OK.”
Admitting that not only the pre-season but the whole of 2015 has been tough, Suppo says that adversity has made Marquez a better rider.
“Marc is very young, despite having already won two titles. Last year he arrived from a season he dominated, and it was normal that he needed to learn some things from it. It was a very important year for him.”
‘Work needs to be done, but we can win again’
