If you’ve dextrous fingers, an abundance of patience and a desire to build a Marc Marquez replica, then you’re in luck. The latest release from model specialists Tamiya is of Marquez’s 2014 Motogp championship-winning RC213V and it includes details like that year’s single front air intake. The kit comes with a clear screen and tank grips, a set of masking stickers to aid painting and a full decal kit for Marquez’s No.93 paintscheme.

Last year’s MCN Award-winning tyres feel more like trackday tyres than sports rubber, but unlike racier tyres they warm up extremely quickly. They offer so much confidence and safety when riding hard that I wanted to stay out and play on them after the test was finished. They give the sense that there’s a huge contact patch to lean on in the corners, under acceleration and on the brakes. They make the S1000RR extremely easy to ride fast, which is shown in the lap time.
