Mod­ern day sports-tour­ing tyres bor­der on the mag­i­cal. They’ll do ev­ery­thing and can be fit­ted to any kind of bike, from ad­ven­ture to tourer, naked and even su­pers­ports. They’re de­signed to per­form su­perbly in the cold and wet, are man enough for big mileage, but eas­ily have the per­for­mance to han­dle a track­day – as proved by the Honda Ron Haslam Race School; they use Bridge­stone T30 Evos on their CBR600RRS and Fire­blades right through the sea­son with enor­mous suc­cess. All the tyres here are the dual-ply rear ver­sions, suit­able for heavy ma­chines like our BMW test bike. Due to lo­gis­ti­cal prob­lems, we were un­able to source a dual-ply Pirelli An­gel GT, but we’ve added our cur­rent sports-tour­ing tyre win­ner: Metzeler’s out­go­ing (but still avail­able)
