ri­umph have timed the launch of the new Thrux­ton R to per­fec­tion, right when ret­ros are cap­tur­ing the imag­i­na­tion of bik­ers and non-bik­ers alike. It’s a ma­chine that com­fort­ably mixes style and char­ac­ter with sear­ing per­for­mance.

Tri­umph could have given the out­go­ing Thrux­ton a short back and sides, checked shirt, beard and turn-ups and it would’ve still sold in its droves, but café racer looks aside, it’s a spell­bind­ing mo­tor­cy­cle in its own right.

It’s ev­ery­thing we hoped it would be: smooth, easy to ride, fast and fun. It’s beau­ti­fully built with fas­tid­i­ous at­ten­tion to de­tail. It’s a bike to suit your ev­ery mood, whether you want to potter, pose or go ba­nanas. It’s a bike that gives you so much, you’ll never tire of it.
