Stoner tips Redding for success
‘ The GP16’S got great torque, lots of power – it’s the complete package’
Working not only as an expert consultant with the factory Ducati squad in 2016 but also lending his experience to the satellite squads, Stoner has been working closely with British rider Scott Redding during winter testing.
And, with first hand experience of the Pramac racer, the double world champion says he’s been impressed with him and his willingness to learn.
“Both Scott and Danilo [Petrucci] are really receiving of advice, which is what makes you a better rider. Scott has been doing a great job, but I think he lost a bit of confidence at Qatar after the crashes.
“In general, the whole preseason he’s been getting stronger and looking more and more competitive. The first race in Qatar was, I’m sure, disappointing for him, but he’s showing he can push towards the front and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do.”
