To find out which nine grand sportsbike is fastest around a track, we headed to the Rockingham National circuit, fitted control tyres to both bikes and asked MCN Tester Bruce Dunn to cut some fast laps.
The more powerful, trackfocused Honda was three seconds a lap faster than the KTM, which felt slightly out of its depth away from its B-road comfort zone.
