Sports Valve suspension emulators $470 NZ (approx £230)

Fitting emulators to older fork designs with damper rods introduces an element of damping adjustment that the rider wouldnõt otherwise have. Emulators have been around for a good while, but these new ones differ in the sense that they allow the rider to alter the rebound damping as well as the compression damping. The manufacturers out in New Zealand (the Sports Motorcycles people who became famous for supporting Mike Hailwoodõs fairytale TT comeback victory) say this design also allows adjustment with the emulators in situ. That makes them more convenient and means less loss of fork oil than with existing designs that need to be fished out of the forks for adjustment. Theyõre available for 32mm43mm fork stanchions and the price includes shipping, but not any import duties that may be applied.
