Motogp bosses keep the faith
Motogp promoters Dorna entered into a 10-year contract (five years, plus five years) with COW to host the British GP.
Speaking to MCN, Dorna’s Javier Alonso said: “We have a contract with Wales, and that contract still goes on. Of course, we have talked to them after what we read in the press – but they say there is no problem to continue with the plan.
“Yes, the government has made a step backwards, but they have other ways of financing the project, and what they told me is that there are still people working on the site this morning.
“The other situation we can have is if they fail. Then, we will look at the other possibilities that we have in England – Silverstone and Donington. Both want to host Motogp, and I think that the future of the British Grand Prix is secure in one place or another.”
