Get a taste of Dakar action without nearly dying?

The Dakar Rally is pretty unknown in the USA, so we set up the Taste of Dakar event in Nevada – a selfguided tour through some of the most intense routes on earth to give riders a flavour of what they’re missing. Riders come from all over the world and jump on one of our all-inclusive, three-day self-guided tours in Death Valley − the lowest, driest and hottest place in North America.

Everyone gets into groups of four to seven riders, we load them up with GPS routes and then it’s up to the riders to navigate their way through one of our epic courses. There’s a training school the day before with Dakar master Jimmy Lewis, which is open to all experience levels. It’s a rugged experience through the desert and mountains of Nevada. It’ll cost you around £100 a day to rent a BMW R1200GS (less for a smaller bike). It’s £200 for the event, which includes camping, GPS routes for all difficulty levels, meals, beers, drinks and riding instruction. And it’s around £700 for a round-trip flight from the UK.
