Old VFR, or new VFR?

“The brakes are good but the suspension’s a bit too hard for a VFR and it takes the fun out of country roads. It’s a bit glitchy around 6500rpm too, which is the VTEC. And the new VFR isn’t any more powerful. All in all, it’s a bit bland, really.”

Dave Bailess

“It’s my first experience of the VTEC and when it comes in it’s like, what the heck is that? It’s a lovely ride, it sounds and feels like a V4 – but it’s a different seating position; higher up and sportier. I can’t see it being very comfortable on a long run.”

Malcolm Sandison

“Love it. Really love it. It’s everything I thought it would be and I’d buy one; in fact I probably will. I won’t be selling mine, before you ask, but I’ll sell my boat and get the new one. The brakes in particular are just astonishing!”

Tony Nucoll

“The new VFR is absolutely excellent, but it’s not a big step up from mine. The biggest difference is you sit on it more than in it. It’s still comfy and would do the job, but it feels a bit more sporty.”

Jon Riley

“It’s lighter, but other than that it’s much the same. A bit more power, a bit more nimble in the corners, brakes are a bit better. But there’s not so much in it. It’s basically the same as my bike, with a sportier riding position.”
