CAMIER TAKES MV TO NEW HEIGHTS
Amid reports of financial restructuring and concerns for the MV Agusta brand itself, former BSB champ Leon Camier lifted the spirits of the Italian company and his official MV Agusta team by securing an all-time best finish of fourth.
“The race on Saturday was amazing,” said a smiling Camier. “We thought this could be a slightly better track for us as speed is not so important. In the race there was only so much I could do from 13th on the grid. A few riders went down which helped us, but fourth was good. It was a result in the dry and it was massive achievement for everyone. The bike was working well and the lap times were good and at points we had better lap times than the leaders.”
