– Lochs to see in Scot­land

Scot­land has some of the finest rid­ing roads in Europe but you don’t have to head to the West Coast or the High­lands for a great ride. There are amaz­ing roads within easy reach of the cen­tral belt of cities, with quiet and wild scenery – and lochs ga­lore as well.

Head­ing out from Falkirk, this route climbs the Duke’s Pass on its way to Loch Ka­trine, be­fore head­ing out, past Loch Earn and Loch Tay, to Loch Ran­noch.

If you have time, the ride out to Ran­noch Sta­tion is well worth it, be­fore the route loops back through Blair­gowrie and Crieff.
