South-east/central England – Coast & castles
Southwold’s a charmingly bustling small seaside town but the roads in the surrounding Suffolk countryside are even better. Quiet and flowing, linking unspoiled villages, they’re ideal for a relaxed ride. This is a relatively short route, but it’s one to be savoured. It heads out along the coast, through the coastal villages of Dunwich, Aldeburgh and Orford. Looping inland past Framlingham’s castle, there’s mile after mile of quiet B-roads.
