VERDICT ‘MT-07 never ceases to engage’

The Kawasaki is the most basic bike on test, and the oldest. It has a simple dash, soft suspension, feels dated and isn’t as exciting as the competition. That leaves an extremely close call for first place with the MT- 07 just about clinching top spot. It’s the better bike overall: more purposeful, cleverly designed, more engaging to ride. But it’s such a close-run contest that on a different day with different testers the Suzuki could have easily edged ahead. For a novice rider the SV would be top choice as it is so well balanced and incredibly easy to ride. Claimed wet weight: Tank size: 16l Seat height: 805mm Tested MPG: 41.85
