MARC AND JORGE SHOULD BE WORRIED

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Sport -

Just how important was Valentino Rossi’s victory? In theory, it was one of the most important of his career, because of who he beat and how he beat them.

It might be a bold claim, but until now Rossi has never conclusively won against both Marquez and Lorenzo on the same day. Sure, there have been occasions where the Doctor has come out top of a scrap with them but never before has he dominated a race against both of them in the way he did on Sunday.

In fact, the last time Rossi took a win with such ease was back in the old days, before his ill-fated switch to Ducati.

So what does the change in form mean for Marquez and Lorenzo? Already wary of Rossi after his run to second in the title chase in 2015, they now have a whole new reason to fear the Doctor.
