The pillion’s view
Two bikes stand head and shoulders over the others for being best for a pillion: the BMW and Suzuki. But the BMW just gets it for me.
The F700GS is the easiest bike to get on and off and there’s a decent amount of room between you and the rider. The seat is very comfortable, spongy and cups you into place. Wind protection is excellent, even at motorway speeds and you’re not perched up too high over the rider in front, like you are on the Kawasaki. The engine is nice and smooth, with almost zero vibes; you could easily fall asleep on the back. It’s got great grab rails and there’s lots of legroom, too.
