Be Wiser Ducati hit back at claims

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Sport -

Be Wiser’s team co-ordinator, Stuart Bland was quick to hit back at Mark Smith-halvorsen’s comments, saying that the package they buy from Ducati isn’t exclusive and is available to anyone else on the grid.

“We’ve bought a bike from Ducati that anyone can buy, anyone can go to Bologna and buy a Panigale RS with all the WSB electronics on it,” he said. “We took all of those electronics off and put the BSB Motec system on, which we developed ourselves not with Ducati and our bike is completely within the rules. The Motorapido team have access to all the same equipment and advice as us.”

Bland also touched on the Gbmoto team’s relationship with Kawasaki, which saw the squad named as the official factory-supported BSB team in 2015.

He said: “They’ve been testing with the KRT World Superbike team twice and they’ve got factory Showa suspension. Is this not the same?”
