Motorcycle News (UK) - - This Week -

The Supersport 939 wasn’t the only Ducati spied testing this week. Also seen were a new Scrambler variant and two revised Monsters.

The Scrambler is the most interesting of the three. It appears to be a new version of the relatively poor-selling Scrambler Urban Enduro which, compared to the rest of the Scrambler range, has been something of a flop. The ride height of the new bike appears to be raised – a hint towards increased off-road ability – and the use of lots of disguise tape suggests there is new stuff underneath that Ducati don’t want anyone to see.

The two Monsters are more mysterious. The smaller variant appears to be a Monster 795 which is only sold in the Far East. This model has Euro4 spec fork-mounted reflectors, which either suggests it might be coming to Europe, or that Ducati have standardised their fitment for all markets.

The other Monster is a mildly breathed-on 1200, which is almost certainly just tweaks to get it through Euro4 emissions regulations which come into

force on January 1, 2017.
