KE A VICTORY Lorenzo: Ducati, what Ducati?
Jorge Lorenzo has admitted that he’s doing his best to ignore the potential of the Ducati GP16 machine that he’ll move to for 2017 – despite spending much of Sunday’s race up close and personal with the bike.
Instead, he remains adamant that the time to start considering what his future will bring can only come once he completes his current and final season with long-term partner Yamaha.
“I will be happy in six months when I jump on another bike, but that’s in the future. It’s a long way away, and I want to finish in the best way with Yamaha by fighting until the end for the championship and for as many victories as possible.
“This year, I hope that there’s no other track that the Ducati can win at, only finish second or third! I can reduce the difference that way with Marc – but I do hope next year that it can win at all the tracks!”
