Ôthe Ducati has a certain appeal that is hard to ignoreõ

Compromise is always a dangerous game, as you can so easily end up failing to satisfy any part of the equation, but the Hyperstrada just manages to avoid this trap. If you don’t mind its slightly compact riding position it’s reasonably comfortable and the V-twin is nice and punchy.

The Tracer is a far better tourer, but its soft suspension means when the pace ups it isn’t as composed as the Ducati.

The Husky is too single minded to be anything other than a weekend toy, but it was never meant to be anything else.

The Yamaha is the sensible and most affordable choice at just £8k, but the Ducati has a certain appeal and spirit that is hard to ignore. The head dictates that the Tracer wins, followed by the Hyperstrada, then the 701. Your heart might disagree.
