Pepsi Suzuki

Motorcycle News (UK) - - 2016 Motorgp Silverstone Preview -

Arguably the most popular paint job in GP history, Kevin Schwantz rode the Pepsi Suzuki to a famous win over Eddie Lawson at Donington in 1989. Making an early break with Lawson and Niall Mackenzie, even a late charge from Wayne Rainey couldn’t stop his fellow Yank. Much slower than the Honda and Yamaha in a straight line, the RGV500 nonetheless had the sweet handling that Suzuki is synonymous with in Motogp. That meant that while he might have been down on power, the famous Schwantz ‘See God, then brake’ riding style suited the bike to a tee.

Sweet-handling Suzuki outclassed its rivals
