REDDING'S HOME RUN!

Motorcycle News (UK) - - 2016 Motorgp Silverstone Preview -

June 22, 2008 Scott Redding may not have been old enough to drink, drive or get married, but he was old enough to win the British 125 GP! The 15-year-old became the youngest rider ever to win a GP and had 90.000 British fans screaming his name as he hounded Andrea lannone for 20 laps. The Italian finally cracked and crashed... surprise, surprise! Redding said: "To win a GP is a dream. It was still a dream when I woke up on Sunday morning but I had real fight in me." Even Valentino Rossi was impressed. He said: "The little b d. He won his first race in shorter time than me. I hate him because he is half my age — he is incredible!" And Redding did it again — this time in Moto2 in 2013. Just MotoGP now for a grand slam of British GPs!
