Charity ride guide is so snobby

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Comment -

Looking through my Twitter feed today, I read a post from Charley Boorman extolling the idea of being involved with the @Gentlmenssride. I thought it sounded like a fun idea. Clicking though the weblink, I found a ride in my home city then, you have to register to get full details. I then found out that your ride has to fit in the style guide ‘with gentlefolk riding their Café Racer, Bobber, Classic, Tracker, Scrambler, Old School Chopper, Modern Classic, Sidecar, Classic Scooter, Brat-styled motorcycles’. So as I ‘only’ have a modern KTM I cannot take part and raise funds for prostate cancer. Since when did biking become so snobby? Gary Bickley, email
