Having lost his seat in the PATA Yamaha WSB team to Dutchman Michael van der Mark, Guintoli admitted to MCN he could be on the verge of a return to the British series if no suitable options appear on the world stage.
With Shaun Muir confirming Eugene Laverty and Lorenzo Savadori for his 2017 Aprilia WSB squad, reigning BSB champion Josh Brookes has been left without a seat next season. Road racing star Ian Hutchinson reeled in BMW rival Taylor Mackenzie’s championship lead with a dominant victory in the Superstock 1000 race. Starting from pole position, the Tyco BMW man stretched out a 2.373 second lead to beat Mackenzie and Keith Farmer.
