No excuses, just get out there!
MCN reader buys his first bike and heads out on Norwegian adventure
Here are some shots from my solo trip to Norway – a breathtakingly beautiful country and biking mecca. I'd never owned a bike before but bagged a not-tooshabby 13-plate R1200GS off ebay and booked a day’s refresher (it's 28 years since I took my test). Back on ebay for some panniers and a tent. Then across the Tunnel, through northern Europe and up through Norway and the arctic circle to the Lofotens. 14 days, countless ferries, tunnels and 5100.9 miles later and I can't believe it's over. The bike is now second nature, especially as it's shed a few pounds (sans panniers and gear). Met great people along the way and had a blast. Roll on summer 2017! Tim Lawson, email
