Held Sereena gloves £84.99

Tester Emma Franklin Time tested Seven months/4000 miles What’s good? Lightweight and extremely comfortable, these goatskin gloves have been my everyday choice for summer riding. Basic in spec but extremely well made, there’s internal knuckle armour, and reassuring padding on the backs of the hands and in the scaphoid area on the palm. The internal Outlast lining seems to help keep my hands warm on cooler days and prevents sweaty hands getting stuck inside the gloves on hotter rides. After a brief bedding-in period, they fit me perfectly, and I really like the rubber visor wipe on the left index finger, although these gloves don’t claim any rainproofing abilities.

What’s not? The spec claims the goatskin outer is colourfast, yet that didn’t stop these gloves badly staining my hands black after a wet trackday. It’s the worst case of colour-run I’ve experienced and the dye was very difficult to scrub off my skin when I got home. Contact www.held-uk.co.uk Quality ★★★★★ Value ★★★★★
