The Mammoth security shackle seems good value but it is one that doesn’t fit every disc. The Oxford Boss lock is quite small but very strong and is handy as an extra point to attach a chain. Oxford also do an alarmed version (£79.99) which is effective but quite a bit bigger. The Abus Granit Sledg 77 is one of our big sellers due to how easy it is to use. Their alarmed Detecto 7000 RS1 is also the lock of choice for many people. Of this group, only the Sledg 77 is Thatcham-approved, which will usually provide a better quality lock that should also qualify you for an insurance discount.
