Motorcycle News (UK) - - Garage -

I’m planning to ride through as many winter days as possible but my neck is already getting chilled. What’s the best insulation? Tracey Ringrow, Romford

Neckwarmers divide into windstoppers and breathable varieties. Buff make a couple of good options for the winter, the Polar and the Cyclone. The Cyclone is so windproof that you can’t breathe through it – you have to line up the breathing patch on one side. The Polar is a bit more versatile and can be worn in a number of ways, including as a handy beanie. Alpinestars make a nice fleece one as well as do EDZ and Furygan. Other windstopper types can be found from Oxford, Rev’it and Knox among others. Prices start at around £9 and head north from there. Most bike shops should be able to offer you at least a small selection to choose from.
