THE FACTS O 110bhp 222kg Seat height 803mm

Sitting at the top of the R ninet family is the Roadster, which benefits from some new colour options and valuable tweaks including Euro4 compliance.

The S1000rr-derived fork was previously unadjustable, but now has a full complement of knobs to twiddle. The wheels have had a light redesign, wheelbase has grown by 8mm, and the steering head angle has been reduced by 1.3 degrees. The dual-clock dash has been split into two separate binnacles for a more traditional look.

There are two paint options. The Blackstorm gets a huge ‘21’ logo on the aluminium tank, applied by hand, while the Blueplanet’s tank is finished in metallic blue with a golden surround.
