Halsall Racing quit BSB series
The move for Hawk to take on the Suzuki deal comes after the Halsall Racing squad, which has been Suzuki’s official BSB team for the last two seasons, opted to part company with the Japanese marque at the end of 2016 citing a lack of certainty regarding when the new GSX-R would arrive.
Halsall’s initial plans involved securing Yamaha machinery to run 2015 champion Josh Brookes alongside current rider Tommy Bridewell, but the squad have announced that they will withdraw from the British series for 2017. MCN understands team boss Martin Halsall has been considering a switch to compete at next year’s International Road Races, but no such plans have yet been confirmed.
