HIGHLIGHTS New Rallye version arrives Drive train modifications Optional next-gen Dynamic ESA The 2016 updated R1200GS got drivetrain revisions with an anti-judder damper on the transmission output drive, and modifications to the selector drum and transmission shafts and Euro4 compliance. Now for 2017 we get new versions, including this aggressive, classy-looking Rallye.
The Rallye comes on cross-spoke laced rims for improved off-road capability and versatility, and while they still come on road tyres, you can specify it to wear knobblies. It gets a raft of other little touches too, including a blue powder-coated frame, a Rallye seat, sports screen, radiator and frame guard, wide enduro footrests and cross-spoke wheels. Suspension upgrades (including longer, stiffer springs) are also available for it if you want to really go tonto off-road. The perfect GS / GS Adventure crossover.
