At last… a Norton we can all be proud of

Retros are all fine and dandy, but cutting-edge bikes rule

Motorcycle News (UK) - - News -

Two-hundred brake horsepower-plus of V4 power from Norton? Yes please. The retros they have been building are all well and good, but the old firm were never about looking backwards, they were about innovation. That’s how we ended up with genius such as the Featherbed frame, isolastics on the original Commando and the last hurrah that was the Rotary range with its glorious race success. The V4 race bikes at the TT were a step in the right direction but it was hard to get away from the feeling that they were re-worked Aprilias. Now with the new V4 SS and RR (MCN, November 16) Norton have an all-british engine to complete the picture. Not sure about that shiny paint though! Mark Robinson, Kent

If you think it looks great in pictures, wait until you see it at the NEC
