The end of the 2016 Motogp season at Valencia marked the conclusion of this year’s MCN Fantasy Road Race, in association with Bennetts.

Having picked the right riders and accumulated more points than anyone else, Clive Gaskill has been crowned winner of this year’s Fantasy Road Race competition and will be heading out to enjoy a VIP experience at a European Motogp round next year courtesy of bennetts.co.uk.

A delighted Clive told MCN: “I find that the fantasy league really adds to my enjoyment of race weekends and it’s great to have won after seven years of trying.”

Clive’s inspired rider line-up including the Valencia Motogp race winner Jorge Lorenzo and the hardriding Maverick Viñales saw the team accumulate an impressive 804 points – which was enough to hand him the 2016 title.

The team’s choices from World Superbikes were just as impressive with riders including newly-crowned World Superbike champion Jonathan Rea and third-place man Chaz Davies.

During the season there have also been individual game round prizes for Fantasy Road Race team bosses with brilliant Michelin Power Supersport Evo tyres up for grabs.

Congratulations to Clive and to the individual round winners – plus a big thanks from MCN to all the hundreds of teams that took part in this year’s free-to-enter competition.

Keep a look out early next year for the launch of MCN Fantasy Road Race 2017 with more amazing prizes.

Marc Marquez is the world champ – and if you had him on your team you’d have done well
