Nick Sanders is back!
Great events and adventures from the master of the big miles
It’s not that he was ever away (except to loon about on the other side of the world), but after months of research and preparation, Nick’s has a few new experiences for the discerning motorcyclist.
MACH 2, the cutest little bike festival in the world
“You bet. We’re on our second year and we are determined to make this event stupidly good,” said Nick, from his Expedition Centre in Wales. “It’s totally different from any other event on the busy biker’s calendar.”
It’s not easy trying to create something way different and super-cool – but this is it, a motorcycle festival that really is a festival. No dancing around your handbags chaps, no tinnies, just a super-classy playlist with exciting new, highly-talented live musicians – saxophones, gypsy swing violinists, Johnny Cash tribute, comedians, circus acts. Lady bikers especially welcome, pillions too - can cope with camper vans (and bikes of course) - craft beer, superb Ty Gwyn cider and cocktails every night, cream tea in the afternoon.
“There will also be free guided rideouts,” said Nick. “Back roads, across cattle grids, away from traffic in magnificent Snowdonia, led by experienced riders who have been around the world with me.”
The Nick Sanders Adventure Quest is fiendishly hard but a fun Saturday one-off event – it’s where Krypton Factor meets Crystal Maze but on a bike. “There are prizes to be won on a points based system. It’s fun but some of it is very fiendish.”
Introduced for the first time will be a new innovation, Caroline’s Kitchen from which we promise you super bespoke home-cooked nosh. Also, an extra day has been added at no extra cost - four nights camping plus entertainment and ride outs for a super-fair price of £65. One day taster tickets are just £35. “We’re gonna fill,” said Nick, “220 riders came for MACH 1, and I’m stopping at 400 for MACH 2. We are staying small.
“I’ve been around the world seven times, eight times up the Americas. 750,000 miles under my belt but I need to reinvent myself,” he said, “Ted Simon started off the new wave of world biking, I made it go a bit faster, now I need a new challenge and the festival is it. Sign up right now, do it online or see me at Motorcycle Live on my stand 4B25 next to Yamaha and get a ticket there.”
Nick is also running brand new expeditions for 2017. Ask for a free brochure. Ask about the journey along the length of the Pyrenees or the posh glamping also in the Pyrenees. How about Morocco?
