How can I keep my legs warm Q when riding in winter?

I am starting to feel the cold on my daily commute (about 25 miles each way, so 45 minutes or so). I have good gloves and muffs and the screen helps keep the wind off of my hands and chest. Where I’m really feeling it at the moment is my legs. I wear Alpinestars textile trousers with long johns. I’ve seen heated jackets and gloves on my travels but does anyone do heated trousers? Mark Williams, Dalston

A Keith Roissetter, Infinity Motorcycles I know of two options: Keis’s X2i trousers and Gerbing’s heated trouser liner. Both draw about 3.5 amps so you’ll need to wire them in to the bike. Maybe some heated soles from EXO2 or Keis would also warm you from the bottom up? Both can be battery-powered – in fact the EXO2 comes with a couple of lithium-ion batteries.
