Get ahead in a shed

Motorcycle News (UK) - - This Week -

As a 68-year-old motorcyclist who learnt to ride on a moped round a mate’s garden and customised his first bike, a Lambretta LD 150, at the age of 15 in his dad’s shed, I hope you will allow me a little rant against the current fashion for calling custom bikes built at great expense in fully equipped workshops ‘shed built’. Me and my mates in the 60s and 70s were building the first choppers, café racers and off roaders etc in sheds, garages, and sometimes on kitchen tables – my first BSA Gold Flash chopper combination was built in 1971 in our dining room!
