Eu’ll still have a voice

Motorcycle News (UK) - - This Week -

The various people concerned over effects of BREXIT on our riding should take heart. As soon as the European Parliament was set up members of the Motorcycle Action Group set up an office in Brussels to lobby the new parliament. The BMF set up a similar office. Soon these amalgamated, as new umbrella organisation named Federation of European Motorcycle Associations (FEMA), it is still very much active and represents most EU countries. I cannot imagine that MAG or BMF will leave FEMA so although our parliament will have no direct say in European affairs, riders will continue to be represented. The most notable success of lobbying by FEMA was to throw out proposals for a 100bhp limit on bikes. By joining MAG or BMF riders can have their views passed to EU parliament via FEMA which is recognised by MEPS as a very efficient organisation. Mike Baker, MAG and BMF member
