Igor took me back to my 1970s glory days

No lid, hanging off, dragging everything. He’s a legend!

Motorcycle News (UK) - - THIS WEEK -

Great interview with Igor Akrapovic (MCN, December 17) but what blew me away was the superb photo of a much younger Igor in jeans, jumper and no helmet hanging off a road bike in a deep corner with everything dragging… the epitome of youthful exuberance. This took me back to my formative years in the early 1970s in Hereford where on a particular large roundabout I would lay my Kawasaki H2 so far over it decked out the pegs, lower exhaust pipes and the side of my left Green Flash plimsoll which, along with a nylon windcheater jacket and open-faced helmet, made up my riding attire. I still get everything down, but, now it is only on track days. Happy times. Chris Devine, Salisbury Ed: We’ve another Akrapovic exclusive on page 28
