Make trackers standard

Motorcycle News (UK) - - THIS WEEK -

Further to the letter you published in MCN, November 30, regarding trackers, I thought I would share my views on these clever devices. I concur with the writer, failing to understand why all owners of valuable motorcycles do not fit a tracker. Furthermore, I am at a loss as to why manufacturers do not fit them as standard. The benefits in respect of stolen bikes is self-explanatory in that the poor soul who had their bike stolen, is in many cases reunited with it. An added bonus is a collection of stolen bikes may be discovered at the thieves’ hideout. In terms of safety, one of the functions of a tracker, certainly the Autocom unit I fitted to my sportsbike, is a location check which enables your wife, partner, girlfriend or family member to know at any time where you are on a biking trip/adventure.
