Making a small point

Motorcycle News (UK) - - THIS WEEK -

Following your conclusion that the Ducati 959 is more fun for less cash than its bigger brother, I was reminded of my own recent motorcycling history. Like all of us bike addicts, I have naturally climbed to the top of the capacity, speed and power ladder in search of the perfect road bike. In my maturing years (now 53 of them), I find myself climbing back down the ladder and having a lot more fun. My 1000cc Fireblade was swapped for a Triumph 675 Daytona. I went to test ride a 1050 Speed and bought a 675 Street. The trial of the 1200 Monster was bettered by the 821 version which proved more fun, more of the time. All these bikes have brought more of a grin than their larger counterparts. Paul Clark, email
