Carbon fibre

Motorcycle News (UK) - - FEATURE -

Carbon fibre components are produced in-house and are used to make a number of parts including muffler outer sleeves, brackets and heatshields.

The carbon fibre is cut out 1 from sheets of raw material.

It’s shaped into specific 2 designs in moulds.

These are then placed into a 3 vacuum bag where the gases are removed.

The bag goes into an 4 autoclave, the temperature and pressure is adjusted and the carbon cured and then demoulded once it has hardened.

Then the part is machined 5 and polished.
